Mit dem SCORSA® FLEX-system, transparent frame systems can now also be used on curved noise barriers. They allow better noise attenuation with simultaneous reduction of wall height. The KOHLHAUER SCORSA® FLEX system offers the solution for this: from the prop to the flexible hinged frame to the fastening by means of a special clamping construction. The uncomplicated and quick installation also ensures excellent cost-effectiveness.
CLEARWALL® is a modular frame system that combines transparent noise protection with integrated absorbing elements. Depending on the design, absorption values of 4-8 dB can be achieved. It is thus no longer necessary to dispense with transparent materials when sound absorption is required. In this way the unobstructed view of the landscape is maintained, and the perception of the noise barrier as an optical barrier is reduced. KOHLHAUER® offers two systems for this purpose: CLEARWALL® VS and CLEARWALL® HS.

The fixing of transparent noise protection elements via anchor points is an innovative top solution from KOHLHAUER. The result is convincing as a lightweight, large-format, visually appealing sound insulation element with highly efficient acoustic properties and the installation-friendly, patented fastening system. All KOHLHAUER Grid Insulation Systems (GDS) including KOHLHAUER ALUFERA® have been tested by prestigious institutes with regard to sound insulation, sound absorption, wind load, frost and de-icing salt resistance, durability, etc.
Ecological noise protection solutions with KOHLHAUER PLANTA® convince with natural design that harmoniously adapts to any environment – with or without planting. The ellaborate element construction and clever system components make the noise barriers particularly easy to install and a reasonable solution for any budget.
KOHLHAUER ALUMNA® elements combine the industrial, purist look of a metal facade with the best acoustic and static properties. The elements consist of statically effective top and bottom chords made of extruded aluminum. The front and rear panels made of high-quality alloyed aluminum are pinned on and riveted to the chords, so are the side caps. Top and bottom chords act as a tongue and groove system to prevent the passage of sound. The side caps are also made of extruded profiles with incorporated gaskets.
High-quality noise barrier systems made of impregnated pine wood or, on request, other types of wood (such as larch heartwood) in highly absorbent and reflective construction. KOHLHAUER LIGNA® offers advanced noise protection that is at the same time ecological, economical and visually appealing. It is fixed between pre-installed posts, founded in or on individual foundations, driven pile foundations or drilled pile foundations.

TAP-RAIL is a modular frame system and tested for the use on railroad lines. Thanks to highly advanced technology, it combines transparent noise protection with integrated absorbing elements. And thus creates new perspectives. It is now possible to use transparent materials where absorption is required. On the one hand, this creates the kind of visual freedom that travelers enjoy and on the other hand, cultural monuments, cityscapes and unique landscapes retain their valuable signal effect. A wide range of possible combinations of different noise protection elements additionally offers an interesting variety of designs for noise barriers. The absorption values (EN 1793-1) are 4 dB and can be increased up to 8 dB for the entire system by adding a highly absorbing base or by combining with highly absorbing aluminum noise protection elements.
The complete system for transparent noise protection in urban areas is a joint product of R. KOHLHAUER GmbH and Hering Bau GmbH & Co. KG. Due to different formats, pane thicknesses, various colors, etc., noise protection constructions can meet individual requirements and be adapted to urban conditions. In addition to the wide range of design possibilities of the overall system, a quick and easy assembly of the frame systems allows to save time. The rigidity of the aluminum frames enables a slim steel structure. The point fixing as a frameless system grants a similar acoustic effectiveness.
